Flash Express and GCash Digitalise Deliveries in Philippines

Flash Express, a logistics provider in the Philippines, and GCash have collaborated to launch Scan on Delivery. Aiming to digitise logistics payments, this new solution streamlines deliveries for customers. It also simplifies payment acceptance for riders.

The partnership addresses common challenges associated with cash-on-delivery (COD), a prevalent payment method for online shoppers. With Scan on Delivery, customers can pay for their parcels instantly upon receipt by scanning a GCash QR code, removing the necessity for physical cash transactions.

“Flash Express… is always on the lookout for timely yet effective innovations and solutions not only for our customers but also for our logistics operations. The Scan on Delivery partnership with GCash will simplify and speed up the collection and remittance of our delivery riders.”

He added that this partnership also aims to provide customers with more knowledge about digital payment solutions in the e-commerce logistics space.

This digital payment option also benefits delivery riders by reducing issues such as the need for exact change, managing bill splitting, and the risks associated with carrying large amounts of cash.

It also streamlines the remittance process, lessening the need for manual deposits and allowing riders to focus more on efficient service delivery.

The Scan on Delivery initiative seeks to improve efficiency, enhance safety for both customers and riders, and support a broader shift towards digital payment habits.

Additionally, the partnership introduces Webpay, which enables users to conveniently pay via the Flash Express app using GCash, offering a smoother online payment experience.

Beyond customer payments, Flash Express has integrated GCash’s Funds Disbursement solution for managing rider commissions. This system facilitates automated and timely payouts directly into riders’ GCash wallets, streamlining compensation and removing the need for over-the-counter cash releases.

For GCash for Business Commercial Head Martin Limgenco, this collaboration underscores GCash’s role in simplifying daily life for Filipinos.
