Macau casino concessionaire Wynn Macau Ltd says it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with global body the Association for Talent Development (ATD). The two will work to “provide new opportunities and vitality for building Macau into a platform for international exchange and talent development”, said the casino group.
The three-year partnership will focus “on collaboration in talent development conferences,” according to a Thursday press release.
The two sides will make use of “their respective resources and strengths to jointly promote industry exchange and innovation, assist Macau in the construction of an international exchange platform and talent development,” it added.
The MoU was signed during the “ATD X Wynn 2025 Asia Leadership Summit”, held at the Wynn Palace casino complex in Macau. The event has been jointly organised by Wynn Macau Ltd and ATD, and has the support of a number of departments within the Macau government, stated the announcement
The event, which had an opening ceremony on Wednesday (April 2) gathered “over 200 talent development executives and experts from leading enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region,” it added.
The ATD was founded in 1943, and is said to be the “world’s largest association dedicated to those who develop talent in organisations”.
The association provides services for more than 30,000 members in more than 120 countries and regions, according to the release.
Linda Chen, president, vice chairman and executive director of Wynn Macau Ltd, said in a speech that her company was “pleased to partner with ATD again to co-host the Asia Leadership Summit in Macau for a second consecutive year”.
She added: “I am also pleased to announce that we signed a memorandum of understanding to formalise a three-year extension of our strategic partnership with ATD to promote talent development at a global level.”
Ms Chen said the summit “not only serves as a professional platform for participants to learn from and exchange views with industry leaders, but also leverages Macau’s strengths to connect with the international world as a hub for nurturing talent with international competitiveness.”
The release cited ATD global senior director, Wang Wei, as saying: “ATD and Wynn will continue to collaborate in the field of talent development and bring more global talent development resources to Macau, reinforcing our shared commitment to leading talent development in the Greater Bay Area and the global community.”
